What if... instead of a 48mp or 60mp sensor, we had a LARGER sensor, like an APS-C? Isn't the size of the sensor more important for picture quality than the number of megapixels?

I just purchased the 4a due to my original pixel xl battery just cannot hold the charge anymore. Still the 4a is in the box as I hesitate to activate it. After watching your video, I may just keep it! I am wanting to see a text feature video and all should be good to go. Thank you for your input!! I did not get the fancy box with food bc it came direct from Verizon monopoly.

I bought the Pixel 4a three months ago, and I think it's a fantastic phone. The camera is incredible. Most importantly for me though, it's a sensible size. I had been holding out for a decent phone that was more comfortable to use. I think these sub 6 inch phones are ridiculous and very uncomfortable to use. I get that a bigger display is better for watch movies and playing games. But if you wanna do that, get a tablet or a TV! Hoping that with the iPhone 12 mini coming to the market it triggers some better specs in smaller handsets.

The Pixel-a series is an absolute no-brainer imo and my standard recommendation for probably somewhere around 70% of people looking for a new phone. It does everything that most people want from a phone really well, almost on par with many phones costing twice or even three times as much. Unless you REALLY need a high-end SoC, there is probably no need to buy anything more expensive than this. I love my 3a and intend to keep using it until the 6a or something like that.

I paid $200 for this phone back in November, the camera is excellent and never noticed any lag (coming from note 9) on common usage. One of the things I liked was google providing unlimited HD photo uploads, now they ditched it (after June 2021), that's unfortunate. It is still worth for $350.

More megapixels isn't always better. In a size that small it's kind of a detriment especially when talking about things like exposure and noise.
